Introduction

The last eight years have been very interesting. We were the victims of a major fire in March 1995 which destroyed nearly three-quarters of the school's buildings. After three years of temporary buildings and mud, we moved into our new accommodation which united the bits untouched by the blaze.

We have been through inspections of all varieties and we've come out of it all a better school. It's an enjoyable place in which to learn and work. Exam and test results have gone up each year since 1999, behaviour is good and getting better, attendance is improving and there are lots of interesting developments inside and outside the classroom.
