World Book Day 04

Both pupils and staff got involved in a range of activities to celebrate World Book Day!

These activties ranged from puzzles to competitions, and from reading to interacting with famous authors using the internet. Staff were on hand to help those pupils who needed that bit extra support.

Paul Armytage, who is the manager of the Learning Centre, said "I feel really happy when I see so many pupils getting involved and taking a real interest in these sort of activities."

Pupils gave positive feedback about the event. Here is what a few of them had to say:

Luke
"I like being able to use the internet to speak to famous people. I wish we could do this everyday. I have really enjoyed it!"
David
"You get to have competitions with prizes for wining."
Shazia
"I like it, because it has encouraged me to read more."
Sarah
"You get £1 book vouchers so that you can get money off of the books that I want to buy."

You can see pictures of some of these activities in the photos section.
