The Microsoft Official Academic Course Series provides training in the following applications:
- Microsoft Office Word 2003
- Excel 2003
- Access 2003
- Powerpoint 2003
The series also provides training in the use of other Microsoft applications.
Students in Y9 at Waltheof School have an opportunity to cover the Microsoft Office Powerpoint 2003 training course. On completion of the course students receive certification as a Microsoft Office Specialist in the use of Powerpoint 2003.
Visits
As a part of the G.C.S.E. Double Award in Information Communication Technology Y11 students will visit a commercial organisation to see how the use of I.C.T. can help and improve business practice. Knowledge gained on these occassions will help students complete projects relating to how ICT is used in organisations. Venues that have provided opprtunities to this end have included:
