Aims

Applied GCSE specifications in ICT should enable candidates to develop a broad range of ICT skills and knowledge of the uses of ICT in vocational contexts as a basis for progression into employment or further learning in ICT-related fields.

The qualification will build on student's previous experience in a number of National Curriculum subjects at Key stages 1, 2 and 3, and will satisfy the requirements of the programme of study at Key stage 4 for Information and Communication Technology for England and Wales.
