Numeracy

Whole School Numeracy Policy – This has been developed and implemented successfully over the last few years. We have undertaken a detailed numeracy audit and identified where numeracy is used across the curriculum. The Maths department held a very successful whole school Inset day which led to each department having a numeracy representative. They meet with a member of the Maths department termly to ensure this process is extended and developed. Numeracy in registrations – In afternoon registration time numeracy skills are reinforced twice a week. This takes the form of various numeracy basic skills booklets, timetable chanting and games. In Year 9 students work on SATS revision during this time.
