KS3
At KS3 all students experience 2 hours of physical education per week. Male and female students complete a common core of activities in the following areas:
- Dance
- Games
- Gymnastics
- Outdoor and adventurous activities
KS4
At KS4 a broad range of experiences are offered focusing on competing or performing, promoting health and well being and developing personal fitness. A range of options are also offered in recreational activities, including ten pin bowling, ice skating and outdoor and adventurous activities.
As well as the common core, where students experience a minimum of 1 hour physical education per week, the Junior Sports Leadership Course is delivered. The Sports Special is also successful, a course designed by students, where they must take part in a diverse range of off-site activities.
G.C.S.E. P.E. is taught to students in Years 10 and 11. (Exam Board Edexcel). We have a comprehensive set of resources and an extensive revision programme.
