Science Labs

We have seven science labs, which can accommodate over 30 pupils in each. Each laboratory is equipped with a computer and an interactive white board that allows access to the Internet and multimedia resources.

Each science Lab is designed to allow full use of science experiments with over 20 gas taps and electrical sockets in each room.

We also have a mobile fume cupboard for those dangerous science experiments where poisonous fumes are made.

Books and other Resources

At Key Stage 3 (Years 7, 8 and 9), the science department follows the Spotlight Science scheme of work. Each lab has the latest Spotlight science pupil book as well as access to worksheets and tests that prepares pupil for the Science SATs exams at the end of Year 9.
